Dealing with Holiday Stress

Well, Thanksgiving is over which means we are now into the holiday season. Some people love this time of year and bask in the joy of the season. For many others, especially those people with ADD, this time of year can be very stressful. There are often more social gatherings this time of year which involves a whole slew of choices. Entering a store for a simple everyday item can be a major event because all of the holidays shoppers who are out. The list can go on and on.

I think just accepting the fact that there is probably going to be a higher level of stress this time of year can be a major step in helping to deal with the stress itself. Once we realize this we can next take steps to help deal with the stress. Though a lot of people have other things on their mind, this time of year is actually a great time to begin working with an ADD Coach. Now is also a great time to learn Skills for Managing ADD too.

What’s one positive thing you can do to deal with the stress of the Holiday Season?
