I’m Speaking at the Crush It at Work & School Summit – Here’s Why I Said Yes
As an ADHD expert, coach, educator, and advocate for over 25 years, I’ve worked with thousands of adults around the world to help them take action, get unstuck, and finally follow through. Over the decades, I’ve learned something important: my time and energy are valuable — and so is yours.
That’s why I’m very selective about the events where I speak. There’s no shortage of ADHD-related summits, webinars, and online events. Many of them are well-intentioned, but they don’t always deliver what our ADHD brains need most: clear, actionable solutions that actually work in the real world.
I turn down far more offers than I accept. I want to make sure that whenever I say “yes” to an event, I’m saying yes to something that is worth your time, your focus, and your trust.
This year, I’m saying yes to something special — and I want to tell you why.
Why I Said Yes to the Crush It at Work & School Summit
I’m thrilled to be part of Alan P. Brown’s Crush It at Work & School Summit, happening August 25–28, 2025.
If you’ve been in the ADHD community for a while, you may already know Alan. He’s an award-winning ADHD coach, the creator of ADD Crusher™, and the host of Crusher™ Coaching. Alan has a unique ability to combine humor, honesty, and hard-hitting strategies in a way that ADHD brains can absorb and actually use.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of watching Alan’s work help thousands of ADHD adults and students around the world. I trust the events he produces because I know they’re thoughtfully designed and focused on delivering practical, actionable takeaways — not just theory or surface-level tips.
What This Summit is All About
The Crush It at Work & School Summit is a free, 4-day virtual event for ADHD adults, students, and parents who want to start the fall season strong.
Summer can be wonderful — travel, relaxation, fun in the sun — but it can also mean our routines get loose, our structure disappears, and the things we meant to “get around to” never get done. When back-to-school or back-to-work season hits, many ADHDers find themselves facing a minefield of challenges: trouble focusing, trouble following through, and difficulty getting momentum going again.
That’s where this summit comes in. From August 25–28, you’ll hear from more than 15 top ADHD and executive function experts who will share short, solutions-packed video interviews designed to help you:
✔️ Focus on the right priorities so you don’t waste time or energy
✔️ Boost productivity and mental performance without burning out
✔️ Find a sustainable rhythm for work-life balance that actually works for ADHD brains
The best part? Each day’s videos are available for 24 hours, so you can watch them when it fits your schedule — no need to rearrange your life or worry about missing something important.
My Topic: Stop Planning, Start Moving: The ADHD Way to Crush the Fall Transition
In my session, I’ll be addressing a common ADHD trap: planning paralysis. This is when we spend so much time thinking about what to do, how to do it, and when to do it, that we never actually do it.
For ADHD adults, students, and parents, the fall transition is often one of the hardest times of year. There’s pressure to get organized, meet deadlines, and adjust to new routines — all while shaking off the relaxed pace of summer. Planning is important, but overplanning can become a sneaky form of procrastination.
In this talk, I’ll share:
-
How to recognize when you’ve slipped from planning into avoidance
-
The small, concrete actions that can help you break that cycle instantly
-
Real-world examples from my thousands of Action Sessions that prove movement — not more thinking — creates clarity and momentum
-
Simple tools you can use the same day to go from “I should” to “I did”
This is not about doing more for the sake of doing more. It’s about making the right moves at the right time, so you can regain control and feel confident heading into the months ahead.
Why This Event is Worth Your Time
There’s no shortage of ADHD advice out there. You can find tips and tricks on YouTube, podcasts, and social media — but a summit like this is different.
You’re getting curated, expert-led sessions all in one place, with a clear focus: helping you transition successfully into fall. You’ll be learning alongside people who understand the ADHD experience from the inside out, and you’ll leave with strategies you can implement right away.
You’ll also have access to a variety of perspectives. One expert might show you a productivity system, another might give you brain-based tools to reduce overwhelm, and another might help you better understand how your executive function works — or doesn’t — in certain situations.
I wouldn’t put my name on an event unless I believed it could truly help you. This one can.
