Prioritizing and Getting Stuck

Wow, it's been almost 3 weeks since I blogged! I think this may have been the longest I've gone with out blogging since I started the blog 4 years ago. Once again I thought I was having writer's block because I couldn't think of anything to write. But, once it again it was because I had so many thoughts, ideas, and events that I could write about and didn't stop to take the time to prioritize and choose just one to start with.

When I did finally stop for a few minutes to get things out of my head and on paper I was amazed at how easy it was for me to choose where to start. For example I have 3 important events happening this week at ADDClasses.com and realized writing about them in the order they will be happening made a lot of sense.

Monday - Terry Matlen and I are going to open up the ADD Action Club For new Members.

Tuesday -  Dr. John Ratey will be offering a Free Teleseminar about ADHD and Exercise

Wednesday - The 6 Week Free Organized Job Search Program begins.

Coaching Tip: When you are stuck and not sure how to prioritize, start with a very simple system.

Free 4 Week Job Search Program

I just made a HUGE announcement today on ADHD Coach Talk. Linda Hillger and ADDClasses.com are offering a free 4 week program help support and Organize Adults with ADHD in their search for employment. ADD Organizing Club vs Adult ADD BootCamp

As many people know Linda Hillger recently began a new program through ADDClasses.com called the ADD Organizing Club. Linda is still running the Adult ADD BootCamp program too. Recently Linda and I have been getting questions asking us about the difference between the 2 programs.

Adult ADD BootCamp is a very intense 6 week program which uses the ADD Audio Coach as the required text. A lot is packed into the program and those who attend all the sessions and do the work really get a lot out of the program. Those enrolling in Adult ADD BootCamp need be able to put in about 3 hours per week to the program to be successful.

The ADD Organizing Club offers 2 weekly telephone group organizing support sessions each week. The ADD Organizing Club sessions are more relaxed and members can move at their own pace. Success in the ADD Organizing Club depends more on the members commitment and not as much on the amount of time they can put into the ADD Organizing Club.

Executive Functioning Strategies Teleseminar

I am really excited to have Dr. Ari Tuckman back to give another Teleseminar at ADDClasses.com. Ari will be presenting the Teleseminar How the ADHD Brain Works: Strategies for Executive Function Weaknesses tomorrow (Tuesday) at 9:00 pm eastern. The live Teleseminar is free and registered participants can either listen to it over the internet or over the telephone.

Can you believe it's almost October? From what I've been hearing from people September has been a crazy month for just about everybody!! Technical Difficulties

This afternoon ADDClasses.com was scheduled to host the Free Teleseminar ADDing Focus with Diane Ladd. I logged on a little bit early to make sure everything this was working okay and got some weird message that the phone number had been changed and the webcast just kept repeating it over and over again! I've been using the service Instant Teleseminar for over 6 months now and that was the first time something like this ever happened.

I instantly called Diane and let her know what was going on. We decided that we pretty much had no choice but to postpone the class. So with that I emailed the registered participants and let them know what was going on and that the class is rescheduled for Wednesday June 4th at 2:00 pm.

Even though the class was free people still rearranged their schedules and made time for this class. I know how valuable time is for people too. So, to try and make it up to people, those registered will be receiving an mp3 recording of next week's class!

Like this, things happen in life that we can't control. Even when we can't control these types of things we can control how we respond to these types situations though!

Love is in the Air

It's February 1st and less than 2 weeks until Valentine's Day. ADDClasses.com is really into the whole Valentine's theme this month. We have 2 ADD Coaching programs focusing on ADHD and Relationships this month! The ADD Book Club will begin discussing the book ADD and Romance on February 4th and on Feb 13th the Program Help for Mixed-ADHD Couples starts!
