Prioritizing and Getting Stuck

Wow, it's been almost 3 weeks since I blogged! I think this may have been the longest I've gone with out blogging since I started the blog 4 years ago. Once again I thought I was having writer's block because I couldn't think of anything to write. But, once it again it was because I had so many thoughts, ideas, and events that I could write about and didn't stop to take the time to prioritize and choose just one to start with.

When I did finally stop for a few minutes to get things out of my head and on paper I was amazed at how easy it was for me to choose where to start. For example I have 3 important events happening this week at ADDClasses.com and realized writing about them in the order they will be happening made a lot of sense.

Monday - Terry Matlen and I are going to open up the ADD Action Club For new Members.

Tuesday -  Dr. John Ratey will be offering a Free Teleseminar about ADHD and Exercise

Wednesday - The 6 Week Free Organized Job Search Program begins.

Coaching Tip:
When you are stuck and not sure how to prioritize, start with a very simple system.

Keep It Simple Stupid

ADDClasses.com I really like the saying: K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple Stupid.  I go crazy when people over complicate things and like things as simple as possible. With that being said, I know that I too can sometimes make things more complicated than they really need to be. I know I could really benefit from learning how to keeps thing simple.

This why I am really excited about the free Teleseminar that ADDClasses.com is hosting on Wednesday February 18th. Ariane Benefit will be leading Simplifying Your Life : Strategies that really work for people with ADHD at 2:00 pm New York Time.

Space is limited!

Getting Back on Track Free Teleseminar

Free ADHD Teleseminars

Tomorrow night I will be leading a Free ADHD Teleseminar through ADDClasses.com called Tips for Getting Back on Track. When I came up with the idea for this teleseminar a few weeks ago I figured a lot of people would be able to relate to it because summer time brings a lot of transitions. I didn't realize how much I'd be relating to the idea of getting back on track though.

This past weekend I spent most of my time in bed with The Flu or something that totally knocked me out. I was also fighting it off most of last week which really interfered with my productivity too. I really like to walk the walk and not just talk the talk when it comes to ADHD Coaching. So I will really be walking the walk when it comes to Getting Back on Track this week!

My Free ADHD Teleseminar - Tips for Getting Back on Track is at 8:00 pm EDT tomorrow (Tuesday). Registered participants can listen to the live Teleseminar for free from anywhere in the world over the Internet or call in over the telephone. If you can't make the live Teleseminar you can listen to it later by subscribing to the ADD Audio Library.

The 2008 ADDA Conference

The ADDA conference hasn't really even started yet and I'm already having a great time. Wednesday night I had a lot of fun! Today should be really fun too since this is when the sessions actually begin.

I've already connected with some old friends and met new people like Jay, Eileen Bailey and a couple of ADD Forums members. I also hung out with Rory Stern late last night talking about ADHD in the Hotel Lobby. I should probably get to some sleep so I will actually be able to enjoy the rest of the ADDA Conference.

Getting Ready for the ADDA Conference

Adda Wow, I just realized that the 13th National ADDA Conference is less than 2 weeks away!! I guess that means it's really time for me to get ready for the conference. I booked both my plane ticket an my hotel so that's out of the way! I really need to start packing though.

This year I'm going to be presenting "Adult ADHD 2.0" at the 13 th National ADDA Conference. I'm also going to be exhibiting ADDClasses.com there too. So, I have a couple of extra things to think about this year. It's not just as simple as only attending!!

ADD or ADHD?

  • The correct medical term for Attention Deficit Disorder is ADHD. There are 3 subtypes of ADHD: Predominantly inattentive(commonly called ADD), Predominantly hyperactive-impulsive, and Combined. Through out this blog and the ADHD relates sites linked from this blog the terms ADHD, AD/HD, and ADD are used interchangeably.
