2012 Adult ADD Winter BootCamp Scholarship Recipients

The next session of Adult ADD BootCamp: Organized and in Control with Linda Hillger begins on February 8, 2012. Adult ADD BootCamp - Organized and in Control is our longest running and most popular program at ADDClasses.com.

At ADDClasses.com we understand that many adults with ADD / ADHD struggle financially. So, in 2011 we began offering scholarships for all of our ADD / ADHD Support programs. We just awarded 3 full scholarships for our Winter 2012 Adult ADD BootCamp program.

Problems with the Kindle

So, a few months ago I finally broke down and purchased a Kindle. I thought about getting one for some time and finally agreed it was the right time to get one.

There are some great ADD / ADHD books for the Kindle like :

• ADHD Medication Rules
• 365 Ways to Succeed with ADHD
• The ADHD Effect on Marriage

The Kindle is great! It saves space and is really portable. It has the option for me to listen and have the books read to me. It also keeps the battery charge for MONTHS at time too!

So then what's the problem with the Kindle? It needs a power to cord to charge the battery when it finally does run out.

So here's where my ADD comes in! A couple of month ago I put the Kindle cord and adapter in a SPECIAL place so I would not lose it when I needed to recharge it.

The good news is that I FINALLY remembered where the special place was! However it took me some time and searching a few different places before I located it. Guess this time I need to set up some type of reminder for where I store the Kindle cord!

New CEU Course about Adult ADD / ADHD

Healthy Eating and ADD / ADHD

This week my guest on ADHD Support Talk Radio was ADD Success Coach Dana Rayburn. Dana and I discussed the problems, challenges and solutions to eating healthy when you have ADD / ADHD. If you missed the live show Healthy Eating and ADD / ADHD you can listen to anytime in the ADHD Support Talk Radio archives and on iTunes. We been hearing from people saying that they've already begun implementing some of the tips that Dana talked about on the show.

Time Management Intensive

I can't believe August is almost over! I've been having a busy month month working on the ADHD Awareness Expo and getting ready to present at the Virtual AD/HD Conference in October. I've had some great guests join me on ADHD Support Talk Radio too. I've also been working with the ADDClasses.com team to bring you the Adult ADD Time Management Intensive.

I am really excited to join forces with Laura Rolands for the brand new 4 week Adult ADD Time Management Intensive. If you don't know Laura Rolands you can take a listen to her on ADHD Support Talk Radio discussing Time Management Struggles and ADD / ADHD.

This 4 Week program begins on September 8th. We've already been having HUGE interest in the Adult ADD Time Management Intensive and I am expecting the Enhanced section to sell out before the end of this week.

Grateful for Positive Feedback

I just sent out an issue of my Support for ADD E-news. I always get nervous sending them out because I know I make typos and other errors. As many times as I check and double check I know there are some errors in there that I've missed. However, I choose not get stuck in the perfectionism mode and to send them out because I know they help my readers.

I often question whether or not my articles are "good enough" or if they really do help my readers though. I am always grateful when readers like this one send me unsolicited feedback telling me I did help them!

 If your newsletter is the first one, or if I've just begun to receive them for the first time, I just want to say THANK YOU for a short and informative little coaching session! Simple, and it sounds effective to me...... I'm sure going to try it right away. I've seen similar but this was the most concise and this one will work for me. I love having the "choice" - that darned timer always gets the best of me - it's both my enemy (when I'm in flow), and my friend (when I'm doing something I don't want to do ).

Have printed it off on paper,  to put right under my nose - or literally to carry around with me until it becomes a "habit".   And thanks for all the other info, too. 

 

 

 

The Zen and Acceptance of ADD / ADHD

Wow, I can't believe it's August already can you? Last month I took a couple of weeks off from ADHD Support Talk Radio. I am back and excited to return to the weekly format again this month. I started out today by having Dr. Roberto Olivardia a a returning guest on ADHD Support Talk Radio. We talked about the Zen and Acceptance of ADD / ADHD.
