Register Pre-Paid Credit Cards

If you have been reading my blog for a while now then you know that I highly recommend pre-paid credit cards for Adult with ADHD who shop online. They are great alternative to regular credit cards or bank debit cards. They can be purchased at banks and various types of stores.

There is one thing that I didn't realize about my own pre-paid visa card though. It has to be registered to make online purchases. When my pre-paid visa card that I got for Christmas would not work online I just assumed it was an error on my part. I thought maybe I typed the wrong numbers in an tried entering them a few different times.

I finally went to the website address on the back of my card and learned that I had to register it first. It probably also said that somewhere on the packaging that it came in which I didn't bother to read.

Automatic Toilet Paper Delivery

Toilet_paper A few months ago I was with a group of people who were talking about whether toilet paper should should go under or over on the toilet paper roll. I laughed and said that IF I HAD toilet paper I was very happy and if was on the roll that was just an added bonus for me.

I recently discovered that you can not only get toilet paper delivered from Amazon, but you can set up a subscription to have it delivered automatically. If you are like me and have Amazon Prime there's no delivery charge either!

Of course you might have to do a little bit of planning or estimating to have an idea of how much toilet paper you need. I honestly have no idea how much toilet paper I go through on a weekly or monthly basis. If you over estimate and have too much toilet paper  coming to your house you can always change how often it's delivered.

Twitter ADD Friendly?

Are you on Twitter yet? I've been asked by quite a few people lately if I think Twitter is ADHD Friendly. My answer is both yes and no! I think it's ADHD Friendly because the posts are really short. People are forced to make their tweets 140 characters or less.

Why do I think Twitter's not ADHD Friendly? It's can be a real time sucker! For those with time management issues or those who are avoiding other tasks Twitter can be more harmful than helpful. If you have ADHD and are on Twitter or any other social networking site make sure you set up and use some boundaries and guidelines.

By the way if you want to learn more about ADHD and the Internet I will be presenting ADHD Support 2.0 at the Virtual ADHD Conference.

Ready to Get Organized?

Are you ready to get yourself organized?

Think about that question! I'm not asking if you want to be organized. Being ready to do something and wanting an end result are not the same thing.

There's a reason the ADD Coaching program Adult ADD Boot Camp: Organized and in Control is named "Boot Camp". It's an intensive 6 week program that requires work. Participants don't need to talk 6 weeks off from jobs or regular lives but they need to commit a few hours per week to Adult ADD Boot Camp.

There's nothing wrong with not being ready or willing to dedicate a few hours per week to a program like Adult ADD Boot Camp. If you want to be Organized and not put the time or effort in, your money would probably be better spent hiring a personal assistant to come to your home or business and do the work for you.

Low Cost Long Distance Options

Last fall ADDClasses.com started offering the option to listen to our live Free Teleseminars over the Internet in addition to the telephone. ADDClasses.com members have been really happy with this option and our international membership has dramatically increased too.

Because our ADD Coaching Programs are small and interactive we don't offer the webcast option. Participants must call in using a telephone to participate live. I've recently been getting people telling me that they would love to participate in some of the ADD Coaching Programs but they can't afford the long distance charges.

I was kind of surprised to hear this from those living in the united states. I thought most people had cell phone plans with long distance. I've been using an unlimited monthly plan for close to 10 years now on my personal land line phone and my business phone. I currently use Vonage for my business phone which costs about $30 per month.

I've also heard great things from other people about Skype Out. There are different Skype Out plans that range from about $3 to $10 per month. Some people purchase special phones through Skype but many just use the mic that's already built into their computers.

I just recently purchased the Magic Jack and for the most part it's worked very well. I had problems talking on it in the middle of a thunder storm last week in a hotel room. However I think it had more to do with a bad Internet connection than the Magic Jack itself.

The Magic Jack costs about $40 for one year of service which includes calls to the US and Canada. Those who live in other countries or travel to other countries can just plug in the magic jack and call the US or Canada. If you do order the Magic Jack, special offers will be thrown at you at the end. They give you the option to purchase up to 5 years of service.
