As many of my readers are aware of there's been a shortage of ADHD medication across the country for months now. Fox 25 out of Boston did a story about the ADHD Medication Shortage earlier this week which I was featured in. You can watch the story right here (I come on about 4 minutes in).

2012 Adult ADD Winter BootCamp Scholarship Recipients

The next session of Adult ADD BootCamp: Organized and in Control with Linda Hillger begins on February 8, 2012. Adult ADD BootCamp - Organized and in Control is our longest running and most popular program at ADDClasses.com.

At ADDClasses.com we understand that many adults with ADD / ADHD struggle financially. So, in 2011 we began offering scholarships for all of our ADD / ADHD Support programs. We just awarded 3 full scholarships for our Winter 2012 Adult ADD BootCamp program.

ADHD Medication Shortage: Help Needed

For the past several months there has been a growing ADHD Medication Shortage across the United States. There's still no answer as to why the medication shortage is happening. The FDA is blaming the Pharmaceutical companies and the Pharmaceutical companies are blaming the FDA. There are also lots of different speculations on why this is happening.

This shortage is causing problems for both Adults with ADD / ADHD and Children with ADD /ADHD across the United States. Some people have had to go to numerous pharmacies before finding one that has their medication in stock. Some people have had their medications switched because their medication they have been taking for years can't be found. Some people have just stopped taking medication all together because they can't deal with the all the hassle.

CHADD has decided to do something about the medication shortage. They need your help first though. If you or your loved takes medication to treat ADD / ADHD please fill out this confidential survey.

The AD/HD Medication Matters Summit was designed to help you, the consumer, understand your options when it comes to using medications to treat you or your child's AD/HD. Prominent neuropsychiatrist Theresa Cerulli, MD will be joining my friend and colleague, Jennifer Koretsky, in this online summit to teach you everything you need to know about AD/HD and medications. This online event takes place June 14th and June 15th. 

College Scholarship for ADD / ADHD Students

It was announced this week that Shire is offering a Scholarship for college students with ADD / ADHD. They will be awarding 25 scholarships of $2000 each and full year of ADHD Coaching. It's open to US citizens accepted to or attending an approved college, university, vocational or technical school as an undergraduate student that have been diagnosed with ADHD and are under the care of a licensed health care professional for ADHD.

The Deadline to submit applications is July 7, 2011.
