Usually every year on "Black Friday" I ask myself why anybody would get up at 5:00 am and go shopping. Being that I am so not a morning person that concept just never made sense to me. Well last night I was very tired and ended up falling asleep around 8:00 pm and woke up around 2:00 am. I could not fall back asleep and those TV commercials about the stores opening at 5 am kept coming on. So who else but somebody with Adult ADD would think it would be fun to go to Wal-Mart at 5:00 am?

Honestly a big part of why I went was pure curiosity just to see what it would be like. I didn’t intend to go and get any great deals. I got to the store about 5:15 am and could not believe how crowded it was. I also think most of the people there must have had Attention Deficit Disorder too since nobody was paying attention to where they were going and bumping in to everybody else.  It really was very entertaining to watch.

Since I actually was there I figured I would purchase a few gifts. Two of these gifts were electronic items and I figured that they would actually be in the Electronics department. The Electronics dept was very crowded because everybody was there to buy a laptop computer that was on sale. I guess the store sold out of the laptops in about 15 minutes or so and people weren’t too happy. They actually had to call the police because people started punching each other.

After spending about 20 minutes trying to locate the 2 electronic items I wanted to buy I actually asked a worker where they were located. I was told they were down by the Grocery department. Gee why didn’t I think of that 1st??? Just think of all the time I would have saved. Well, I think I will do the rest of my shopping online!!!
