I’m in Marketing and PR. I get the paid model. I understand that people need to be paid for their efforts, but there’s something that seems fundamentally wrong about curating a book of content and tips to help others heal through a paid structure. This immediately cheapens the book and the content.

Submissions should be based on the QUALITY of content, not who is willing to pay for it – especially when dealing with health and healing. Hopefully, those who are putting this book together understand that full disclosure on publishing, and all further promotions of this book will have to be made. People deserve to know that this book will be curated based on payment before they purchase it.

Laurie addresses the paid issue on her site. The fact that people are paying isn’t being hidden. This is also the 5th book of the series!

Do you know how many people pay Ghost Writers to actually write their books? I think this model is more honest than people who pay somebody else to write their books and then take the credit.

Hi Trevor! Appreciate the comment and absolutely agree that your concerns might be true in some cases. With this being our fifth book in the ADHD Awareness Book Project series, our contributing authors are some the best and brightest in the ADHD community! And just in case… I personally pay a team of professional editors, proof readers, copywriters and marketing experts to make submissions shine and create the momentum necessary for all past editions to reach #1 in Amazon.com the day the books were launched. Happy to send you a copy ~Laurie Dupar
