I’m sure you’ve heard of Affirmations but are you familiar with Afformations?

The key distinction between affirmations and afformations is that affirmations make positive statements, while afformations pose positive questions. Affirmations affirm your beliefs and reinforce positive thoughts, while afformations prompt your mind to seek solutions and possibilities that align with your desired outcome.

Affirmations can be very helpful but sometimes we aren’t quite ready for statements which we know aren’t true (yet)? Affirmations can feel icky and like lies. Sometimes afformations (questions) can be more beneficial because of the simple fact that we may more more likely to use them. They feel less icky!

Like Affirmations (Statements) Afformations (Questions) must be in the positive. Afformations Focus on the positive desired outcome or results.

For example if I were lose my keys the questions I may ask “How the bleep did I lose my keys?” or “Why did I lose my keys again?” are NOT example of Afformations. Both questions are focusing on the act of losing my keys. What I will be shown again and again is how and why I lost my keys.

Examples of Afformations that may help me locate my keys when want them might be something like:

  • How can I find my keys when I need them?
  • What steps can I take to know where my keys are at all times?
  • Why am I able to access my car keys when I’m on my way out the door?

Afformations engage your subconscious mind in a problem-solving mode.

By asking empowering questions, you prompt your mind to seek answers and solutions. This can help shift your focus towards opportunities, possibilities, and resources that support your goals. Afformations stimulate your creativity and encourage you to think outside the box. Afformations help to put you in the driver’s seat!

    • Burton Ellis

All my adult life, my mind has been the driving force that has allowed me to create unique accomplishments. However, my mind has also driven me to self-sabotage some of my best opportunities for exceptional financial rewards. The net result has been significant under accomplishment over the span of my life.

Now, at the age of 90, my mind still seems as active as ever and I’m being called upon to use it to overcome significant health challenges, even as I’m attempting to complete and promote, perhaps, the most unique and profitable training project, ever. Therefore, it is vital that I come up with the means of gaining control over my focus and actions. As I have used Afformations with some degree of success in the past, I have concluded they hold the best opportunity to complete the complex task at hand. Please wish me success and provide any advice you may have at this time. Best regards, Burt Ellis.
